Provious lives with both of her parents, Patrick Pande Kisozi and Hajirah Mwogeza, in Kigwere Village on Busagazi Island. Her father owns a small piece of land where they grow food solely for their own use, as the harvests are always too small to sell commercially. Moreover, there is an ongoing land dispute, and he constantly faces threats that the land will be taken away from him.
Provious' mother, Hajirah, was a teacher at a local school, but she lost her job because she did not have the necessary qualifications. Despite these challenges, Provious loves school. Unfortunately, she is frequently sent home because her parents cannot afford to pay the full school fees.
Provious is a happy, multi-talented girl who especially enjoys music and dance. Her enthusiasm for learning and her creative talents bring joy to her family amidst their struggles. We kindly appeal to well wishers to help Provious by sponsoring her education so that she can realize her full potential.
At KINGSTONE UGANDA PROJECT, we believe all children deserve an equal chance to thrive. Your sponsorship can ensure a child has enough to eat, an education, and hope for the future. As a sponsor, you'll develop a special relationship with your sponsored child, receiving digital photos, handwritten messages, regular updates, and a monthly 1-5 minute WhatsApp video call.
You can choose a child to sponsor or let our team in Uganda select one in greatest need. It takes only a few minutes to become a sponsor, and you could change a child's life forever. Sponsorship costs just £15 a month, covering food, water, education, and healthcare for a child who walks to school from home.
For £25 a month, your sponsorship will also cover boarding school, which many Ugandan children attend due to distance. Boarding schools provide running water, good toilets, and shelter during heavy rains.
To learn more, please contact us through our website. We would be happy to talk with you, and you can even visit Uganda and our schools.
