Edrine is one of the three children born to their mother, Jennifer Nanyange, and they all reside with her. The father abandoned the family seven years ago due to poverty, leaving without a trace. Jennifer now owns a tiny piece of land left by the father, where she struggles to grow enough food for their basic needs. However, even the produce from their land falls short for their household. Their dwelling is a humble one, with a dusty floor and no bedding.
Without the means to afford clothes for her children, Jennifer relies on donations from kindhearted individuals. Sometimes, these donations include used clothing, and to Jennifer, it matters little if her boys wear girls' clothes; what's important is that they have something to cover their bodies. We kindly ask for financial help so that Mohamed continues his education journey please.
At KINGSTONE UGANDA PROJECT, we believe all children deserve an equal chance to thrive. Your sponsorship can ensure a child has enough to eat, an education, and hope for the future. As a sponsor, you'll develop a special relationship with your sponsored child, receiving digital photos, handwritten messages, regular updates, and a monthly 1-5 minute WhatsApp video call.
You can choose a child to sponsor or let our team in Uganda select one in greatest need. It takes only a few minutes to become a sponsor, and you could change a child's life forever. Sponsorship costs just £15 a month, covering food, water, education, and healthcare for a child who walks to school from home.
For £25 a month, your sponsorship will also cover boarding school, which many Ugandan children attend due to distance. Boarding schools provide running water, good toilets, and shelter during heavy rains.
To learn more, please contact us through our website. We would be happy to talk with you, and you can even visit Uganda and our schools.
