Justine Kateme is a primary five student at Busagazi Community Primary School in Buikwe District. She has three sisters and six brothers and lives with her mother, Scovia Auma, since her father passed away on February 2, 2024. Her mother runs a small canteen selling juice and papyrus mats, but it doesn't generate enough income for the family. Scovia struggles to provide food and school fees for her children.
Justine's home, shown in the background, is very dusty and lacks doors and windows. The family lost hope after their father's death, who was their main provider. Despite these challenges, Justine loves school and enjoys playing netball.
At KINGSTONE UGANDA PROJECT, we believe all children deserve an equal chance to thrive. Your sponsorship can ensure a child has enough to eat, an education, and hope for the future. As a sponsor, you'll develop a special relationship with your sponsored child, receiving digital photos, handwritten messages, regular updates, and a monthly 1-5 minute WhatsApp video call.
You can choose a child to sponsor or let our team in Uganda select one in greatest need. It takes only a few minutes to become a sponsor, and you could change a child's life forever. Sponsorship costs just £15 a month, covering food, water, education, and healthcare for a child who walks to school from home.
For £25 a month, your sponsorship will also cover boarding school, which many Ugandan children attend due to distance. Boarding schools provide running water, good toilets, and shelter during heavy rains.
To learn more, please contact us through our website. We would be happy to talk with you, and you can even visit Uganda and our schools.
