Mohamed and his sibling live with their mother, Jennifer Nanyange. Their father abandoned the family seven years ago due to poverty, and no one knows his whereabouts. Jennifer owns a small piece of land, left by their father, where she grows some food, but it is not enough for their needs. They live in a poor house with a dusty floor and no bedding. Jennifer can't afford clothes for the children, so they rely on donations of old, used clothes, regardless of whether they are for boys or girls. To her, what matters most is that they have something to wear.
At KINGSTONE UGANDA PROJECT, we believe all children deserve an equal chance to thrive. Your sponsorship can ensure a child has enough to eat, an education, and hope for the future. As a sponsor, you'll develop a special relationship with your sponsored child, receiving digital photos, handwritten messages, regular updates, and a monthly 1-5 minute WhatsApp video call.
You can choose a child to sponsor or let our team in Uganda select one in greatest need. It takes only a few minutes to become a sponsor, and you could change a child's life forever. Sponsorship costs just £15 a month, covering food, water, education, and healthcare for a child who walks to school from home.
For £25 a month, your sponsorship will also cover boarding school, which many Ugandan children attend due to distance. Boarding schools provide running water, good toilets, and shelter during heavy rains.
To learn more, please contact us through our website. We would be happy to talk with you, and you can even visit Uganda and our schools.
